Details of the offer

Location: Sydney
As a 'Code Wrangler' you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our apps' integration with WooCommerce and WordPress.
You will also lead new product development from conception to implementation, high-volume and high-concurrency programming with top-notch quality and clean code.
Requirements:

Advanced proficiency with PHP, MySQL, Ajax, JSON.
Git or similar version controls system experience
Strong understanding and application for OOP principles, REST APIs & MVC architecture.
Experience developing within the LAMP environment.
Good understanding of security issues in development.
Able to liaise with stakeholders, understand a business brief and design technical specs.
Computer Science degree or similar level of tertiary education.
Ability to work under pressure, achieve deadlines and effectively prioritise multiple, concurrent tasks
Experience working on a large-scale system to make it faster, more scalable, and fault-tolerant.
The ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly, with very little direction.
A deep understanding of HTTP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Should have extensively worked on core WooCommerce.
Association with Automattic
Should have developed plugins that are listed publicly in the WooCommerce or WordPress plugin directory
Knowledge of Node.js and Angular will be a definite plus
Comfortable with customer-facing roles including support and documentation.

Contribute everywhere — ideas, architecture, ui, server-side development, processes, and tools.
