About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Womenswear Designer to join our head office team in Sydney. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating beautiful and luxurious garments that reflect the brand's unique aesthetic.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop concepts and mood boards for seasonal collectionsCollaborate with the CEO and founder to ensure designs align with the brand's vision and directionResearch trends and historical best sellers to inform design decisionsCreate design concepts, sketches, and tech packsSelect fabrics and trims to meet the brand's high standardsOversee the production process to ensure garments meet quality and aesthetic expectationsRequirementsBachelor's degree in design or fine arts, or college degree in fashion design or related field3+ years design experience in luxury/premium fashion brandProficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe IllustratorAvailability to travel for research and product developmentExcellent design and conceptual skillsExcellent sense of style and colourAn extensive knowledge of premium garment construction, fabrics, and trimsExperience in communicating effectively with offshore suppliersProven ability to self-manage time and adhere to critical deadlinesExceptional organisational skillsAbility to communicate effectively within the product team and with other teamsWhat We OfferSalary in the range of $100,000-120,000pa (excluding superannuation)A highly collaborative and creative environmentUnbeatable brand exposureOpportunity to grow within an organisation that values its employeesDiverse and inclusive cultureProfessional development opportunities
