We have now received significant new government funding to enhance this work in our community.We are seeking qualified women to join our team who can provide trauma informed, holistic, wrap around counselling, advocacy and practical case management support to women and victim-survivors.Successful applicants will demonstrate trauma and violence informed values, knowledge and skills in a range of interventions that support women's health and wellbeing and who may have experienced trauma, including sexual violence and domestic violence.As part of the Sexual Assault Support Service, the role also provides a very unique opportunity to participate in best practice responses to sexual violence to all genders. This requires shared contribution on a 24-hour roster as part of Townsville's Sexual Assault Response Team, alongside police, hospital and prosecution.Remuneration is in accordance with the SCHCADS Award 2010.
