Women'S Head Coach

Details of the offer

West Harbour Rugby Union Football Club (WHRUFC) "The Pirates" was founded in 1900, and competes in NSW rugby union's premier competition, the Charter Hall Shute Shield. The Club's vision is to create a high performance club rugby community - thriving on its diversity and a "win-well" culture.

The WHRUFC Centre of Excellence and home ground at Concord Oval has recently undergone an $84m redevelopment, and significant further investment and expertise has seen the establishment of a dedicated High Performance Committee (HPC) aligning all its programs for excellence on and off the field. Player participation levels are at an all-time high and the foundations set for the right people to drive success.

The Club is now seeking applications for the position of Head of Women's Rugby. The role is responsible for leading the Women's team to excellence on and off the field and forms an integral part of the HPC, working closely with Men's, Colts and Pathways program leads. The successful candidate will have a passion for women's sport, a minimum level two rugby coach accreditation and have coached at a similar or higher level for 2 or more years. Player recruitment and program management experience and expertise will be highly regarded.

This is a part-time equivalent position (with the potential for full-time in the future), with both set and flexible days/hours around the annual rugby season and program. The Coach will be based at West Harbour's Centre of Excellence at Concord Oval but be expected to travel locally (Sydney metropolitan). Work from home/alternative location flexibility is also available within reason. Direct report will be to the Club's High Performance Committee Directors and other key internal relationships will be with the Head of Rugby (Mens), Head of Colts and Pathways, and the General Manager. The key responsibilities of the role are:

Strategic
: Develop and evolve 1, 3 and 5-year strategic plans and objectives for the Women's rugby program in collaboration with Mens, Colts and Pathways programs, and within the parameters of the Club's High Performance Committee policies and annual rugby budget;

Coaching
