Leading strategic and operational direction for the Paediatric Outpatient Department, ensuring efficient, person- and family-centered care. Evaluating service models and implementing improvements through clinical and consumer engagement. Collaborating with divisional and medical leaders to manage outpatient services, including referral triaging. Managing nursing and administration staff and providing leadership to Nurse Consultants and Nurse Practitioners. Developing care models to enable nursing staff to work to their full scope of practice, including nurse-led clinics. Ensuring governance, practice standards, and continuous improvement in nursing and inter-professional practices. Promoting a healthy work environment and fostering a culture of learning and quality care. About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 5 years post registration experience. Experience as a leader or manager in the health care industry. Experience in managing and leading complex projects. Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and review services, develop, and implement new models of care. Experience in managing large numbers of staff from various multidisciplinary backgrounds.
