We have opportunities for women who are interested in leading large teams in the aluminium industry and who want to enhance their skills to become successful leaders in our business, to start in August. No experience in the mining or aluminium industries is required—we are interested in your passion for leadership and your unique skills and experience. We have carefully designed a program to help you to learn about our industry, our operations and leading operational teams at Rio Tinto.
We are looking for talented women to take on leadership roles across six of our Pacific Operations locations which include:
Weipa Bauxite Operations in Northern Queensland Gladstone Operations including Yarwun Refinery, Boyne Smelter, Queensland Alumina Limited Refinery Bell Bay Aluminium in Tasmania New Zealand Aluminium Smelter (Tiwai Point) in Invercargill, New Zealand You will take part in the Women in Aluminium Leadership Program with other likeminded women, where you will fulfill your potential across Leadership, Safety, Business and Technical capabilities. Each successful candidate will have a personalised development program designed to enhance and complement your current strengths and experience whilst providing support in your areas of opportunity. The program will run for approximately 12 months at which point you will qualify to transition into a permanent role.
As part of the Leadership Development Program, you will motivate your team to achieve their best, with safety at the forefront of everything you do. You'll inspire passion, lead with compassion, and drive your team to achieve results for themselves and the business. You will work a nine-day fortnight with a rostered day off (RDO) on a Monday or a Friday or will work a normal Monday to Friday working week dependent on business requirements. We are open to discussing flexible work options, which may be available to you.
