Women and Children's Pathways Program - RNWomen and Children's Health Nursing - Pathway Program
Northern Beaches Hospital is offering early career Registered Nurses the opportunity to transition into Women and Children's nursing. The 'Women and Children's Transitional Pathway Program' is a twelve (12) month program that will see you rotate throughout the various areas of the women and children's service including:
Maternity (Postnatal and Gynaecology)PaediatricsSpecial Care Nursery (Neonatal)You will be supported by a group of expert Clinical Midwifery/Nurse Educators, clinical facilitators and Clinical Midwifery/Nurse Specialists, to ensure you meet all objectives within the program. You will be given protected teaching time, tasks/assessments and competencies to complete, in order for you to successfully complete the Program.
At the conclusion of the Program, you will be offered the opportunity to apply for entrance into the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery at Northern Beaches Hospital, or ongoing employment in Paediatrics or SCN with future opportunities to complete a graduate certificate in one of these areas.
Essential Criteria for consideration into this program are as follows: AHPRA Registration as a Registered NurseRegistered Nurse minimum 2 years experienceAbility to work minimum 36 hours per week for the duration of the program (12 months)Ability to work a rotating rosterCompletion of a New Graduate Program (does not have to have been at NBH)A strong commitment to your own professional developmentDesirable Criteria: Experience in Surgical or other Specialty area (may have been part of a graduate program)For further enquiries: Kristen Boyd, Acting Women and Children's Services Manager, ******

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024 with a salary ranging from $35.46 - 49.79/hour.

Applicants will be required to provide a current (12 months or less) National Police check and a NSW Working with Children's Check, prior to appointment and persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases prior to commencement.
