About the opportunity The Rehabilitation Specialist/GP VMO will be an integral part of the Specialist Intellectual Disability Health Team. The team provides telehealth/virtual care consultation services in Western NSW LHD, Far Western LHD or Murrumbidgee LHD, for people with intellectual disability and complex health needs.
The SIDHT is a multidisciplinary team based in Western NSW LHD that provides a consultation, primarily telehealth, service for people with Intellectual Disability and an unmet health need. The model of care for the SIDHT comprises two streams of activity: a) clinical care; and b) building the skills, experience and confidence of mainstream health staff.
The service provides virtual consultations, so the Rehabilitation Specialist/GP may be located anywhere across Australia, with an expectation of spending some time in Orange NSW, where the team is primarily based.

There is potential to work remotely with travel to WNSW, FWLHD and MLHD as required.
