About the opportunity
Dubbo Health Service is now looking for a Staff Specialist/Visiting Medical Officer – Geriatrician to join the team in Dubbo.
The Staff Specialist/Visiting Medical Officer will provide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for optimal patient outcomes and provide support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

To apply, please address the following Selection Criteria Current Medical qualification that is registrable with the Medical Board of Australia and listed on the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA). Evidence of Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, specialising in Geriatric Medicine or an Advanced Trainee in the final 6 months of training approaching fellowship and/or proof of recognition as a specialist by the Specialists Recognition Advisory Committee. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of contemporary evidence based best practice in Geriatric Medicine and evidence of competence in skills relevant to Australian rural hospital practice. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement. Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
