This role can be performed remotely within Australia or New Zealand.
We are seeking an energetic System Administrator with experience deploying, optimizing and fortifying Windows Server(s), Microsoft SQL and leverage other Microsoft technologies. As the system administrator you will not only be responsible for direct configuration of these systems, but also aid in defining an automation strategy for the future to streamline your team's work. In addition we seek to cross-train all roles and you will be involved in learning more of the stack you are less familiar with along with building documentation and training for those that join your team in the future as we continue to grow. You will join teams working to take our application automation and resiliency to the next level - including but not limited to: standardizing deployment architectures and methodologies; automating IT infrastructure and developing infrastructure-as-code approaches; streamlining application performance via optimizing server, network and storage configurations. All of this and being able to participate in our journey to move some of this application to cloud-native services in AWS!

If this speaks to you, please read the formal job description below: Job Summary: The System Administrator is responsible for deploying Intelerad's software solutions and maintaining the deployment procedures to enable clients to have the tools that will make a difference in their day-to-day operations.
This is a position to work as part of a team to deploy complex applications remotely on Windows servers, which are used by hospitals and radiology clinics to schedule patients, perform reporting and billing, archive digital images, and provide the user community with access to this data across a WAN.
Specifically, the operations entail configuration, deployment, upgrades, maintenance and analysis of Intelerad's software solutions.
This position regularly requires working outside of regular office hours to minimize operational disruptions to our clients.
After your initial training period, your schedule will be flexible outside of core business hours.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Install and configure Intelerad's software solutions remotely on Windows servers Deploy new client production and test environments Perform software upgrades Perform proper testing after implementing changes Troubleshoot issues and outages Develop expertise to understand the impacts of different operations and changes Suggest and participate in documentation maintenance and improvements Actively look for ways to improve processes and technologies to deliver a better product Participate in on-call rotation to assist with emergencies reported after hours Work on week-ends, after hours and holidays when needed Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, or other network related fields 1+ years of system administration experience Approaches challenges as opportunities and sees every day as an opportunity to become a little bit better Strong sense of ownership and dedication to results Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand medical imaging Excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships Attention to detail Knowledge of the following technologies: Windows Server 2019 Microsoft SQL Basic Knowledge of all the following technologies: Linux Operating Systems NoSQL and MYSQL Databases Version tracking tools (Mercurial, Git, RCS), an asset Networking Storage Shell, Python or PowerShell This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties and the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.
