About the role The Wildlife Project Officer will review, develop and implement training materials for NRE Tas staff and relevant stakeholders to ensure preparedness for marine wildlife incidents such as whale and dolphin strandings.
Research and investigate training options that align with best practice.
Ensure staff and stakeholders understand their role and responsibilities during a wildlife incident and are ready to safely and effectively respond.
Participate in marine wildlife emergency responses if required.

Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Period of appointment 24 months.
Minimum Requirements Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar.
A tertiary qualification relevant to the duties to be undertaken and the broader Marine Conservation Program duties, as provided by a university.
A current first aid certificate.
Training in AIIMS.
