Job DescriptionThis role contributes to the successful operation of the Moggill Koala Rehabilitation Centre that rehabilitates sick, injured, and orphaned koalas. The centre is part of the South East Queensland Wildlife Hospital Network and contributes to the delivery of the South East Queensland Koala Conservation Strategy 2020-2025.The role's focus area is to assist with daily operations at Moggill Koala Rehabilitation Centre through activities including:Collection of high-quality browse for koalas in rehabilitation carePlantation and general maintenanceAnimal husbandryBasic administrative dutiesExperience in identification and collection of koala fodder will be highly regarded. Qualifications and experience in captive animal management, vet nursing, or horticulture would also be highly beneficial in this role.As it is a strenuous role involving outdoor work in all weather, physical fitness will be essential for the successful applicant.
