Wilder Fox is exclusively partnering with one of Australia's leading D&C groups for the purpose of recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record within the commercial fit out sector. The portfolio of work they deliver is specific to workplace in the CBD with projects valued up to and beyond $10 million.
Responsibilities: Assume overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of high-end commercial fit out and refurbishment projects in the Sydney CBD. Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring adherence to client requirements, quality standards, and profitability targets. Lead and coordinate project teams, including internal staff, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient project progress. Conduct regular progress meetings and effectively communicate project updates to clients, consultants, and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and customer satisfaction. Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations, to secure optimal value and resources for the project. Monitor project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions and ensure timely project completion. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and health and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle. Manage the resolution of technical issues, conflicts, and project challenges, seeking timely input from subject matter experts and providing effective solutions. Conduct comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and final closeout documentation. Foster strong client relationships, exceeding expectations and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Project Manager, specialising in the commercial fit out and refurbishment market, with a track record of successfully delivering high-end office projects valued at $10 million and above. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initiation to closeout, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. Strong knowledge of commercial construction methodologies, building codes, and industry best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams. Proficient in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Sound financial acumen, with the ability to develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures. Solid understanding of contracts, specifications, and drawings, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to risk management.
