Reporting directly to the Directors, with a dotted line to the General Manager, this role will see you develop with a market leader and allow you to run your day, your way, adapting and championing a deep dive, on the current processes.
THE ESSENTIALS Ability to support, monitor and implement:
Statutory reporting on health and safety matters to the senior leadership team.Attend sites, review mitigate risk, audit, and implement change where relevant.Conduct inductions, leading and managing toolbox meetings.Monitor and conduct relevant safety training.Liaise with and advise personnel and sub-contractors regarding mitigation and management of risks and hazards.Conduct audits on high-risk activities and site inspections.Provide ongoing health and safety advice to Supervisors, Sub-Contractors, and site workers to eliminate or minimize hazards.Assist sites with hazard identification and risk assessment activities.Preparing risk assessments and safety documentation to industry standards.Maintain and initiate site inspections, risk assessments, task observations, and reviewing High-risk work SWMS.Review and monitor contractors' SWMS.Coach, mentor, and support personnel to continually improve the culture and performance of the project team.Assist with ISO accreditation, working closely with the Quality supervisor.Managing workers compensation claims.Ensuring compliance with industry regulators including chain of responsibility controls.Broadly, ensuring all systems, policies, procedures and documentation are to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient working environment.
