We have a fantastic opportunity to take your career up north, to join a prominent and expanding construction company in the Darwin, Northern Territory as a WHSEQ Advisor.
As the WHSEQ Advisor you will work closely with Project Managers, Divisional WSEQ Advisor and the Manager of Construction. Working across a series of projects to ensure the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements are being met.

Duties & Responsibilities: Support project managers ensuring that safe systems of work are implemented in minimising risk to quality, environment and health and safety for all personnel.Promote safety awareness throughout the site workforce.Review and advise improvement to site/project specific health, safety, environmental and quality plans, ensuring compliant implementation and improvement.Review and reporting incidents, HSEQ non-conformances and near miss investigations to prevent recurrence, and participate in incident investigations when required.Support managing an effective relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, including the general public.Promote a safe customer-focused team culture on site.Maintain a sound working knowledge of company safety procedures, legislation and the project management plans.Ensure that all personnel working on the site have undergone the safety induction training.Contribute to reviewing SWMS and JSEA's and monitor the full and proper implementation of agreed safe work methods.Be responsible for coordinating Contract Pre-Start Up making sure all actions are closed out prior to the commencement of project.Assist in the establishment of Project Site Folders.Provide First Aid treatment and ensure the proper care of injured persons.Problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement.Competency in general suite of software (e.g., Microsoft professional suite), WHSEQ systems, and project management platforms (e.g., InEight, Aconex, Procore).Other ad hoc duties as required. Knowledge & Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in a site WHSEQ role.Certificate IV in OHS or current studies in this field.Current First Aid Certificate.Current White Card.Current Driver's License.Have a clean police record and ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance.Experience in the construction industry.Experience in safety management systems.Experience in the HAZOP and CHAZOP process.
