About the RoleReporting to the Manager - WHSEQ for the Building and Construction Stream, the successful candidate will provide WHSEQ assistance and advice to site and operational teams across various projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about site safety and compliance, drive a culture of care and champion safety for the team and our customers.
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
Ensuring compliance with the Company's WHSEQ system and processes.Driving the achievement of KPIs for your area.Assisting operational/project teams with Serious Injury, Fatality, and Environmental Risks (SIFER) tools and upcoming audits.Reporting serious incidents to the Executive General Manager, National WHSEQ Manager and WHSEQ Manager immediately.Timely reporting and investigation of any incidents.Ensuring all preventative and corrective actions are conducted within all relevant timeframes.Assisting with the maintenance of both the Incident register and Incident report folders.Assisting operational teams in effective Incident investigation.Assist in the preparation of WHSEQ Bulletins / Lessons Learnt.Attending Toolbox meetings, WHSEQ Advisor meetings and conducting Safe Act Observations regularly.Conducting Drug (indicative only) and Breath Alcohol Concentration testing.Ensuring project-specific WHSEQ Management Plans are approved and reviewed by operational teams.Review Project specific Risk Assessment Registers in consultation with relevant stakeholders.Assist the Project Team(s) in the development of SWMSs and JSEAs.About youTo be successful in the role you will need:
Minimum 5 years' experience in the construction industry.Strong understanding of WHSEQ principles and their application.Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.Good time management skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.Certificate IV or greater in Work Health & Safety.Ability to obtain ADF DCAC & Police Check.Current valid Driver's Licence.Construction Industry White Card.ICAM Lead Investigator Training (desirable).What we offerThis is a full-time position with an attractive remuneration for the right candidate.
