About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Work Health & Safety (WHS) Compliance Coordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Senior WHS Manager, you will align with our company WHS management system and work closely with the Channel Site Manager to ensure daily application of our safety system. This includes timely incident reporting, investigations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and various forms of consultation.Daily Requirements:Time on Water: Spend at least 30% of your time on the water.Safety Systems: Implement, administer, and maintain the corporate safety system to ensure site WHS compliance.Compliance: Facilitate WHS hazard identification, risk assessments (JSA), risk control, and other safety-related tasks.Investigations: Support the onsite team with timely incident and injury reporting and conduct subsequent investigations.Injury Management: Ensure Tassal's Injury Management protocols are supported on site and vessel.Stakeholder Support: Assist site leadership groups in achieving a physically and psychologically safe work environment.Contractor Management: Assist with effective WHS management of contractors.What's in it for You?Monday to Friday scheduleBeautiful location with opportunities to work on the waterDiscounted private health insuranceHeavily discounted seafood through our Salmon Shop & TruckFree, confidential counselling sessions through our Employee Assistance Program40% Helly Hansen discountOur Values: Our people contribute in various ways, embracing our business values and harnessing our "can do – safely" culture with purpose and intent. We are passionate, we achieve together, we own it, and we can do safely.About You:Cert IV in WHS or greaterAquaculture experience is desirable but not essentialAbility to understand competing priorities and find balanced solutions at the site levelHigh-level communication skills with a collaborative approachAttention to detail with a general understanding of WH&S matters, investigative skills, and an enquiring mindDuties and Responsibilities:Maintain up-to-date management systems for WHS and complianceReport hazards and incidentsAssist with injury management and recoveryCoordinate the site's action planJoin us in driving cultural change to ensure a safer physical and psychological working environment.
