We have an exciting opportunity for experienced WHS Business Partner specialising in Health and Wellbeing to join our WHS team, partnering with a region and leading the delivery of the wellbeing framework, at the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator. We're looking for individuals who have the drive and passion to ensure great safety and wellbeing outcomes for our people and our business. Someone who can engage with our team to work through WHS processes and drive sustainable outcomes for all parties whilst always promoting positive health and safety behaviours and building our safety culture.
At a high level, the role is responsible for assisting to develop, implement and monitor the continuous improvement of workplace health and safety management systems and practices at the NHVR.
This is a permanent full-time role, based in our Port Melbourne or Adelaide office. Working with a family friendly team, we offer a supportive hybrid work environment with flexible work from home arrangements. The role is highly field-based and covers Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, meaning frequent travel across the region and occasional interstate travel will be required.
About You We are seeking a strong communicator, someone who is passionate about getting a message across and is willing to jump in to execute the wide range of tasks and duties that come alongside such a busy and large scale transformation. You will have
Qualifications in Health and Safety or related discipline such as health or behavioural science is essential; and/or equivalent level of experience gained from a combination of experience, training, professional accreditation and qualifications.Minimum 5 years' experience in a work health and safety role preferableDemonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience in the application of current safety legislation within AustraliaAbility to prioritise and complete action plans with detailed reporting while developing stakeholder relationshipsExperience in working in project roles or change programs across wider geographical operations with multiple sites and stakeholder groups with competing priorities and timeframesProven experience in writing reports, analysing data and communicating findings.Advanced ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Auditing qualifications and experience assessing WHS management systems and undertaking investigations using ICAM methodology is highly desirable but not mandatory. Previous WHS experience within the infrastructure or utilities industries may be beneficial but not required.
