Senior Environmental Advisor

We are currently recruiting for a talented, experienced and highly capable Senior Environmental Advisor to join an expanding mining group in the Bowen Basin. The role will be reporting to the experienced management team and focus on ensuring the site adheres to relevant environmental legislation, whilst identifying and managing potential risks and implementing effective environmental management plans.
About you:
Coming from a mining background you will have experience working within the mining sector, coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental science or a related field. You will have a strong knowledge and understanding of environmental compliance, monitoring, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Key duties and accountabilities:
Identify and report on Environmental issues immediately Develop, review, and implement plans that comply with relevant legislation Liaise with all stakeholders regarding Environmental compliance Manage contractors and lead environmental projects on site Assist in developing Budgets for your department Contribute to overall safety, productivity, and performance in the workplace Communicate effectively between departments Qualifications required:
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or similar Excellent organisation, project, and time management skills Ability to communicate and build working relationships Experience developing and implementing environmental management plans Previous mine site experience, ideally coal S11, Coal Board Medical and Current Drivers License What the role is offering:
