Whistleblower Case AdviserDepartment: Risk Group Compliance - Regulatory & Conduct RiskDivision: RiskLocation: MelbourneAbout UsAt ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.About the RoleStimulating and rewarding work with reach and impact across RiskOpportunities to learn, grow and developAs a Whistleblower Program Adviser in our Whistleblower Program Team in Group Compliance, you'll play a key role in liaising with whistleblowers (reporters), triaging and assessing whistleblower reports, working closely with Whistleblower Protection Officers (WPOs) and our investigation teams (WIs) to protect reporters in accordance with ANZ's whistleblower policy and procedures and relevant legislation.Assist Whistleblower Program Lead and expert Whistleblower Program Advisers with preparing and delivering specialised training, program promotion and awareness activities, Group and Program initiatives, enhancements, and maintenance.Role Location: MelbourneSchedule: Full TimeRole Type: PermanentWhat will your day look like?This role is accountable for:Effective and timely management of whistleblower cases in accordance with ANZ's whistleblower policy and procedures and relevant legislation.Assisting experienced Whistleblower Program Advisers in managing and overseeing complex matters.Providing advice to WPOs and WIs to ensure cases are managed in line with legislation and policy within strict confidentiality requirements and to ensure protection of whistleblowers.Maintaining accurate and current records of whistleblower cases and assist with reporting as required.Actively contributing to and fostering the development of a safe and effective speak up compliance and risk culture.Collaborating with subject matter experts and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the Whistleblower Program team objectives are achieved.Compliance with the Non-Financial Risk Framework.Upholding ANZ's values, code of conduct, and policies.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:Ability to always maintain confidentiality of Program work.Good communication and collaborative skills.Good planning, coordination, and prioritisation skills.Good analytical and record keeping skills.Able to work independently (with some oversight) on less complex whistleblower cases.Growth mindset, proactive, and willingness to learn.Legal or investigation experience in a relevant field.Knowledge of whistleblower or employment laws, processes, or procedures.Exposure to and liaison with senior executives.Sound appreciation of non-financial risk.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
