Position Overview Whelans Group is looking for a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad, demonstrated background in civil engineering, clear competency in tasks from tendering to project management and project completion, the ability to lead project teams, and a demonstrated passion for delivering high-quality projects.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting, large scope projects and assist with delivering external engineering services. Key Responsibilities Developing and reviewing engineering designs, plans, and specifications. Leading and managing civil engineering projects from conception to completion. Coordinating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success. Conducting site inspections and provide technical guidance. Managing end to end tendering processes. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Managing the relevant areas of material management, finance tasks, quality and environmental control and handovers. Mentor and support junior engineers and team members. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field. Minimum of three years of experience in civil engineering. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and standards. TBC, Bluebeam, AutoCAD or TerraModel software proficiency an advantage. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Competitive Salary: from $130,000 per annum. and work package to be negotiated with successful candidate.
