Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor , the Field Service Plant Mechanic will carry out warranty and customer repairs on a range of CAT machinery and associated products in a timely and efficient manner.
Mostly an autonomous role, you will have to maintain focus on all safety aspects complying with both WesTrac and our customer's policies and procedures.
The variety of equipment you will be working on includes Dozers D6, D7, D8, D9, D10 and D11 Dozers, Wheel Loaders from 924 construction loaders to 994 mining loaders, Graders such as 120, 140, 160, 14, 16, 18 and 24M and a wide range of models of Off Highway Trucks (773F – 793F).
This work will be completed in a collaborative, team environment with a strong focus on safety.

Roster options:
12/9, 2/2 or 2/1 - 12-hour per day, and night shift on demand allowance
10/4 - Residential - Housing package available

To be successful the following is required:
Australian-recognised Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate with post trade experience Field Service Experience and/or dealership exposure A very keen interest and knowledge of CAT products and eager to learn.
Heavy equipment product knowledge Be well aligned and exhibit WesTrac's SPARC values - Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer Required tickets - High Risk, Dogging, Working at Heights Drivers Licence (Manual C Class minimum - HR preferred but not essential) Refrigerant Handling Licence (preferred but not essential) What we offer:
