Excellent opportunity to join Westpac's Risk Division.
How will I help?

As a Risk Analyst, you will support the team and operational managers to deliver the required analytical work to meet legislative requirements and manage the Westpac Risk Appetite.
This role will be actively on the tools to support AMLSO deliver to a high standard.
You will respond and action queries in a timely manner and attach all documentation to the audit logs for record keeping purposes and provide the required assessment and investigation of AML/CTF/Sanctions events in accordance with agreed timeframes and determine appropriate course of action.
You will act as a reference point to internal stakeholders by educating and complying with Westpac's standards and provide support to the wider AMLSO team as required inclusive of onshore and offshore staff.
You will take accountability for delivery against SLA relative to the issues that are being assessed and manage and deal with sensitive highly confidential information in accordance to Westpac Privacy.
In addition to this you will:
Identify and escalate any potential risk to the business/The Westpac Group i.e.
financial, compliance and regulations.
Develop and manage key internal stakeholder relationships to maximise customer experience.
Resolve a high-volume of inbound and outbound calls meeting required SLA targets.
Provide subject matter expertise for all initiatives or projects for the relative function/process.
Escalate High Risk customers with adherence to the AML Operations Agreement.
Monitor/identify and escalate any potential breach relating to relevant legislative/regulatory requirements industry codes and policy that may result in fines, penalties from regulator (AUSTRAC) or reputational damage for the Westpac Group.
Develop your knowledge of the legislative context and requirements pertaining to your jurisdiction.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role you will have a good understanding of Anti Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism Finance & Sanctions Operations desired with an understanding of overall business processes, support systems and tools – including AOM practices.
You will have the ability to utilise business metrics to manage operations and drive efficiency and have demonstrated experience in relationship management for internal stakeholders.
You will have good knowledge and application of compliance and legislative requirements with an understanding and applying the principles of risk management.
In addition to this you will:
Be a self-leader that can manage to high quality and time.
Have highly developed analytical skills.
Be driven to deliver – have a proven ability to deliver the best possible results for the organisation; and shows determination, resourcefulness and a sense of purpose in achieving this.
Have a strong drive for continuous improvement with a continuous improvement mindset.
Experience in an operational team is desired.
