As the Investment Director Private Wealth, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our investment proposition which is driven by insights and investment themes, as well as a number of direct wealth investment opportunities, all with an institutional quality assessment. Reporting into the Chief Investment Officer you will play a key role with multi-asset class analysis for international markets to inform external manager assessment and direct investments. You will also provide analysis and selection of alternative investment opportunities spanning areas such as global equity markets and liquid alternative strategies in domestic and global markets. As the Investment Director, you will also be required to: Write and develop investment papers for recommendation to the Private Wealth Investment Committee. Undertake well considered analysis and rationale for investment assessment and selection, in global markets to inform external manager selection and direct investments. Originate robust quarterly client updates that summarise our assessment of existing investments. Liaise with internal business partners across the Westpac Group, and external partners, to deliver both strategic and considered outcomes. Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment to meet the overall Private Wealth strategy and objectives. Understand and deliver within complex legal, regulatory, risk and policy frameworks as they apply to both the banking and investment/wealth dimensions of the business. Ensure all compliance, audit and business risks requirements. Meet and maintain compliance requirements for role as designated. Complete all associated Role Accreditation. What do I need? Global investment mindset and experience. Degree in relevant studies (commerce, economics, or business) and CFA or CAIA preferred. Breadth of analytical skills across multiple asset classes and investment structures. Good business acumen and ability to understand trends and forces of change across industries and sectors. Experience in covering international markets is preferred. Actual investment experience through multiple market cycles is preferred. Collaborative with strong communication skills.
