Start your career on the right foot with our dynamic internship program, where you'll gain hands-on experience and access to professional development opportunities. Our program is designed to complement your university degree, allowing you to work in a position that aligns with your field of study.
As a Westpac Group intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in your chosen field. You will receive training and support to help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your role. You will also have the opportunity to learn about Westpac and our commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Completing the internship means you'll gain valuable work experience and have the chance to network with industry professionals. Our team will provide assistance as your internship comes to an end, helping you to prepare for the Graduate program and represent yourself effectively when searching for a graduate position.
Westpac Group provides well-structured opportunities that are typically available during the semester break. Additionally, we offer part-time opportunities during the semester. These placements are paid opportunities that are specifically designed to align with your degree and are open to all university students. Our Indigenous Careers Team, who are fully committed to supporting Indigenous individuals, will be available to assist you throughout the application process and during the program's completion.
Minimum Requirements A strong interest in your chosen field and a willingness to learn. A commitment to working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team culture. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to succeed. A willingness to ask questions and seek feedback. Eligible to complete an internship, as defined by the relevant government guidelines. Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Currently registered in a university or TAFE program. We encourage applicants from all academic backgrounds to apply for this position.
