Westpac | Business Development Manager, Referrer

Details of the offer

Job Description
You are a team contributor who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
Develop and grow our first party lending introducers across Queensland.
Showcase your experience with generating sustainable referral opportunities to our dedicated Home Finance Managers.
How will I help?

You'll combine your knack for networking with either your market knowledge or lending know-how to generate new business for Westpac.
As a trusted adviser to our referral partners, you'll drive First Party Home Lending through our Referral Channel and sales plan – while tapping into your existing networks and partnering with the local community.
Accountants, conveyancers, solicitors/lawyers and real estate agents are known to you?
This can be the start for you to build solid relationships as you'll work closely with our Home Finance Managers and branch teams to help us keep our customers at the heart of every business decision we make.
Most importantly, you'll be a natural presenter – and will take part in coaching at off-sites, networking and information evenings to keep developing business growing in the right direction.

What's in it for me?

You'll play a significant part of the future of a business that has been around for over 200 years.
Our purpose is to create better futures together.
So, we'll back you in the development of your career, internal career prospects, and flexible working.
You'll also keep learning to grow your career, backed by a fantastic team of people with a can-do, supportive structure.
Whatever shape your family takes, we offer generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers.
This includes leave to organise adoptions, surrogacy, and foster care arrangements.
And we continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled.

What do I need?

First of all – a current drivers' licence.
You'll need that to get from site to site.
Secondly, plenty of ambition, confidence and people skills – as you'll need that to build your networks and steer new business in the right direction.

Along with that, you'll have a proven track record with coaching and influencing peers to generate results.
A knack for prospecting to acquire new partners who meet our framework – and plenty of experience in managing B2B partnerships.
We're looking for someone who our team and our partners see as a retail banking expert – which means a solid understanding of how to develop and implement a range of strategies.
And like everyone who works with Westpac, you'll make every decision with the customer front and centre.

What is it like to work there?

We are a collaborative team of passionate people with a shared ambition to make a difference for our customers, our communities and each other.
At Westpac, making a difference means creating impact, unlocking our own and each other's passions, and transformative success stories to create better futures together.

As well as competitive remuneration and a great culture, joining the Westpac family gives you access to a wide range of employee benefits to help you manage your priorities - whether that means family life, work/life balance, ambition to grow or all the little perks in between.

We'll empower you to shape your career path.
Through personalised upskilling, mentoring, and training opportunities, you're in control of where you start and how you'll grow.

As an equal opportunity employer, we are proud to have created a culture and work environment that values diversity and flexibility – and champions inclusion.
