The Role: SMP Mechanical Supervisor required to join our Client's permanent onsite team working a FIFO 8:6 (day shift) / 7:7 (night shift) roster.
As the onsite SMP Mechanical Supervisor, you will be required to oversee and coordinate all mechanical works, which will include both project work, preventative maintenance, and shutdowns.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and lead mechanical teams on-site, ensuring that work adheres to plans, specifications, and safety standards. Assign tasks, track progress, offer guidance, and resolve any issues that arise. Manage and coordinate resources such as labour, equipment, and materials to ensure projects progress efficiently. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of necessary resources. Implement and uphold quality control procedures to ensure that maintenance activities meet industry standards, specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Perform regular inspections to identify and address any quality concerns. Enforce safety regulations and foster a safe working environment. Develop and implement safety protocols, conduct safety training, and address any safety-related issues or incidents in mechanical work. Act as the primary point of contact for on-site communication with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships with all involved parties. Address on-site challenges related to mechanical systems and installations, such as design issues, equipment failures, or scheduling conflicts. Develop solutions to ensure smooth project execution. Keep detailed records of project activities, including daily reports, inspection reports, and change orders. Provide timely updates to project managers, highlighting project progress, achievements, and any potential issues or delays related to mechanical work. About you: Experience working as a Mechanical Supervisor across SMP works. Strong leadership, supervision, and safety background. Ability to manage onsite work crews, problem-solving skills. WA Drivers licence. White construction card. Trade certificate (mechanical fitter). Working at heights certification. Confined spaces certification. Statutory Supervisor (S26 certificate). Section 44 certificate. Previous experience working with Outotec larox. What's on offer: FIFO position, 8:6 day shift, 7:7 night shift (rotating shifts). Project/Site: Midwest Region.
