About the role: The Western Alliance Research Translation Coordinator assists in building research capacity and capability across the western region of Victoria by supporting research development and translation within Western Alliance member organisations. The Western Alliance Research Translation Coordinators (RTCs) are embedded within health services and collaborate with clinicians and existing researchers to provide regional research support, build research capacity through the development and delivery of research education, and facilitate linkages between the health and academic sectors. By doing so, they contribute to building a culture of innovation, collaboration and evidence-informed practice, as guided by the needs of the population and the strategic direction of Western Alliance and its member organisations. The Research Translation Coordinator role is funded by Western Alliance Academic Health Science Centre (Western Alliance) and embedded within Western District Health Service, supporting Western Alliance's partner organisations in the South West region, including South West Healthcare (Warrnambool), Portland District Health and the West Victoria Primary Health Network. You will bring: Minimum 5 years relevant experience working in the health sector Significant experience in designing, undertaking and disseminating health research and in implementing research findings into policy and practice Experience in supporting others to undertake health research (preferably within the health sector) Experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders in health and community settings to design and implement research translation initiatives For more details take a look at our Position Description.
