Wells Engineer – Interventions and P&A - 12 month contract Location: Brisbane CBDDay Rate: $1428/day including super Roster: Monday to Friday NES Fircroft, in partnership with a leading global oil & gas exploration and production company, are seeking a Wells Engineer (Interventions and P&A).
Join our client in driving excellence in well engineering while ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure the operations are planned to conform to standards and local regulatory statutes protecting the safety of the personnel, environment, and local/national community.
Ensure safe and efficient execution, collaborating with onsite teams and service providers.
Independently develop the plans in an integrated, collaborative, and efficient manner to allow for a timely and cost-effective execution of the operations.
Collaborate across the Wells Performance and Planning and Drilling Teams, in addition to critical stakeholders across the Asset Operations Production and WRFM Teams, the Developments Projects, Integrity, Subsurface, and Production Technology Teams, Contract and Procurement and HSSE department.
Required Skills: Relevant engineering degree (minimum of 4 years studying) Relevant wells experience (CSG, interventions, P&A) IWCF Certification Strong understanding of the Well Delivery Process and related value creation activities Working knowledge of workover rig and coiled tubing operations Working knowledge of EDM well engineering software packages (or ability to learn quickly) Project management skills Experience in CSG (Coal Seam Gas) / CBM (Coal Bed Methane), unconventional, or other high intensity land operations and/or operations on privately owned land is beneficial.
