About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Wellbeing, Health & Safety (WHS) Officer. Reporting to the WHS Operations Manager, this role is vital in implementing, reviewing, and continuously improving WHS strategies across various sites. The WHS Officer will play a hands-on, operational role, providing advice and guidance to stakeholders, ensuring a practical, risk-based approach to WHS that supports site teams.
Key Responsibilities: Regular travel to sites within Queensland & NT to implement and monitor WHS programs. Conduct detailed risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate WHS risks effectively. Maintain comprehensive WHS documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards. Provide training sessions to enhance WHS capabilities within site teams. Analyse health and safety metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Support incident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure all site activities comply with WHS legislation and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and engagement throughout the operations. About You: 5+ years in WHS management with a focus on project delivery and continuous improvement. Experience in agriculture or a related industry is highly advantageous. Proficiency in managing WHS documentation and reporting systems. Willingness to travel across sites within QLD & NT, 2 weeks on average per month. Certificate IV in WHS/OHS. Relevant WHS auditing experience. ICAM awareness and experience. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or similar is highly advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite and WHS incident reporting systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in challenging environments.
