An opportunity has arisen within the Healthy Knowsley Service to support adults and families living in Knowsley to adopt healthier lifestyles.
We are recruiting 2 Wellbeing Coaches to work within our established team.
One post is full time, 37.5 hrs and one post is 30 hrs.
We are a multi-disciplinary team including Weight Management Dietitians, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, Wellbeing Coordinators, Assistant Practitioners, Wellbeing Coaches, and Wellbeing Advisors.
As a team, we are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those in Knowsley and are looking for Wellbeing Coaches who share this passion to join our team.

Main duties of the job To work as part of a team to support people to improve their health by coaching individuals and groups to lead a healthy lifestyle.
The post holder will use behaviour change techniques with individuals and groups in the community to empower them to identify, make, and sustain positive lifestyle changes to improve health and wellbeing.

Job responsibilities MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist in/support the identification of health needs and participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual care interventions under the direct/indirect supervision of a registered Practitioner depending upon competency/complexity of work. To provide advice to clients and carers in relation to any needs and the wider public health remit of the Health and Social Care organisation under the direct/indirect supervision of a registered practitioner. To maintain accurate, clear, concise, and contemporaneous records as per trust policy and communicate information to members of the Team as necessary. To be aware of the role limitations of practice and when to seek further advice from a supervising Registered Practitioner. Provide concise handover and information updates to other members of the Team as required. MANAGERIAL/LEADERSHIP: To demonstrate a knowledge of external agencies who could be involved in patient care and work in partnership with these agencies under the direct/indirect supervision of a registered practitioner with regards to follow up and provide feedback to Registered Practitioners as appropriate. Making recommendations to improve services. Influencing, motivating, supporting, and enabling others to contribute towards the effectiveness and success of the organisation. Attend, contribute, and participate in relevant meetings. To demonstrate an understanding of policies relevant to the role including the application of clinical governance and risk management. To plan and prioritise own designated duties under the direct/indirect supervision of a registered practitioner, in line with clinical and non-clinical responsibilities taking account of priorities and responding to additional delegated tasks as appropriate and seeking advice as necessary. CLINICAL: Identify and use opportunities to promote healthy lifestyles e.g.
nutrition, physical activity, individuals, and groups. To carry out a range of diagnostic/assessment techniques to identify and respond to clients' needs in a range of settings under the direct/indirect supervision of a registered practitioner. To deliver a range of intervention techniques and skills to meet clients' needs in a range of settings under the direct/indirect supervision of a registered practitioner. To evaluate and feedback clients' responses to interventions in discussion with registered practitioners and modify under the direct/indirect supervision of a registered practitioner. Person Specification QUALIFICATIONS QCF Level 3 Health/Social Care qualification or evidence of equivalent experience of working at that level. EXPERIENCE Relevant experience working within health & social care. SKILLS Demonstrate National Literacy & Numeracy skills at Level 1. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to prioritise own workload between competing demands. Develop effective working relationships with all stakeholders. Flexibility to meet the demands of the service. Able to use initiative. Understands own limitations and is committed to developing self and others. Ability to travel and transport equipment across the borough(s) in a timely manner on a daily basis. KNOWLEDGE Demonstrate a good understanding of relevant Public Health Agenda. £24,071 to £25,674 a year per annum pro rata.
