Welders & Boilermakers (Trades & Services)Full timeAdd expected salary to your profile for insightsThe OpportunityAt APA, our purpose is simple: to strengthen communities through responsible energy.We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Welding Technician to join our Networks team in Kidman Park SA, on a Permanent full-time basis.Reporting to the Supervisor Fabrication, you will be responsible for welding construction, maintenance and fabrication in compliance with Australian Standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCompleting welding construction and fabrication in compliance with Australian StandardsMaintaining weld and material traceability on transmission pipeline and station projectsPerforming hydraulic and pneumatic pressure testing on fabricated equipmentSafely and efficiently installing metering facilities according to relevant standards and APA Group procedureLiaising and communicating effectively with other departments and customers to coordinate the installation of metering equipmentYour backgroundTrade qualification and quality experience in welding and fabricationProficiency in Tungsten Inert Gas and Manual Metal Arc Welding to pressure pipe standardAbility to interpret engineering drawings for constructionExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team and a variety of stakeholdersStrong focus on safety and standardsAbout the TeamNetworks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics.
