You will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of Steel Products.
Main Duties : -To ensure all work is carried out to company policies and procedures.
Build, develop and produce Steel products as required to meet customer requirements.
Reading of technical CAD drawings.
Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock.
Marking and cutting out sections and shapes using hand tools and other workshop equipment.
Fit up and fabrication of components, in jigs and to drawings.
Joining metal section using various welding techniques, MIG and FCAW.
Examining welds for size, penetration and defects.
Identify and resolve fabrication difficulties.
Meet deadlines and quality requirements to satisfy customer demand.
Perform all duties whilst adhering to OH&S requirements.
Follow systems and procedures & fill out checklists and paperwork.
Adhere to workplace safety requirements and use PPE correctly at all times.
Other Tasks : Adjust to changing requirements of the workshop.
Assist with stock checks when required.
Keep area of work clean and tidy.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials in and out of the work area and assisting colleagues in this task where necessary.
Knowledge and experience : Trade Qualified.
Experienced with the fabrication and welding of structural steel work.
High level attention to detail and quality control.
Minimum 5 Years' experience in Mig Welding required.
Experience working efficiently to ensure company quality standards are met and exceeded.
This is a full time role working 38+ hours per week with guaranteed overtime.
A remuneration package of $74,000 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate aligned with experience.
