Position Summary:The successful applicant must be based in SA or Brisbane and have a strong background in structural welding inspection. This role requires an individual with a solid understanding of welding codes, standards, and procedures, and someone capable of ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and compliance on site. Key Responsibilities:Inspect and evaluate structural welding work to ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and specifications.Ensure that all welding operations meet the required quality standards and follow established procedures.Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations.Monitor site safety practices and ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to during welding operations.Work closely with welders, supervisors, and other team members to address any welding issues or defects that arise.Identify any welding defects or non-compliance and suggest corrective actions to improve the quality of welds.Requirements:Must be based in South Australia or Brisbane.Proven experience as a Structural Welding Inspector, with a strong understanding of relevant welding codes and standards (AS, AWS, ISO, etc.).Relevant qualifications in welding inspection, such as CSWIP, ASNT, or equivalent certifications.In-depth knowledge of structural welding processes, materials, and inspection methods.Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration.Strong commitment to safety, ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience working on projects in the oil and gas sector or similar heavy industries.Familiarity with inspection and testing techniques such as NDT.Company Overview:Applus is a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services, providing innovative solutions across a wide range of industries.
