A fantastic opportunity has become available for a full-time Welding/Boilermaker Team Leader to support our team in Wangara. This position will report to the Workshop Supervisor and will be responsible for: Ensuring all work performed meets the required standards as dictated by Work Instructions and Welding Inspectors. Supervising planned and unplanned shutdowns on client sites. Fault finding and resolving problems within your area of competence. Carrying out testing and inspection within your area of competence. Ensuring all workmanship is completed to a high standard. Keeping the work area neat and clean to the standard required by the Company. Providing technical advice to personnel within your team. Identifying work performance issues to the Workshop Supervisor. Assisting the Workshop Supervisor with appraisals and probationary reviews as required. Assisting supervisors to achieve set goals and objectives. The Successful Candidate will ideally have: A recognized Australian or accredited International Welding trade certificate or an in-house apprentice year 3 or above. More than 5 years' experience in the welding trade with credible references to support this experience. A working knowledge of maintenance welding and fabrication, including knowledge and experience in more than one welding process and at least two metal groups. The ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Strong leadership skills and knowledge of relevant safety standards, with a willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.). Deftness and attention to detail. Callidus Welding Solutions, a division of Callidus Group, is based in Perth, Western Australia, offering specialized welding services. Our highly trained team provides significant experience in the joining, rebuilding, and overlay of corrosion and wear-resistant alloys for the mineral process, power generation, marine, and mining industries.
The successful candidate will be required to meet our pre-employment criteria, including drug and alcohol screening prior to an offer of employment being made.
