We are currently seeking a Welder/Fabricator who can also serve as a Semi-Skilled Trades Assistant for our expanding East Devonport branch. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of collaborating effectively with the AJL team, and eager to acquire new skills. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and rapidly growing company, operating in an exciting and fast-paced environment. The positions will entail performing work on all types of heavy machinery, prime movers, stevedoring equipment, trailers, and light vehicles both on site and field service. Responsibilities: Perform work on all types of heavy machinery, prime movers, stevedoring equipment, trailers, and light vehicles. Minimum Requirements: Skills and experience in Arc, MIG & TIG welding. Some skill and experience in the mechanical trade. Semi-skilled in a range of welding repairs and manufacture of steel products and structures. Able to follow set procedures, contribute to their design, implementation, and supervision. Positive and can-do attitude. Self-motivation. Sound communication skills. Willing to work as part of a high performing team. Interest in a diverse role including landside and seaside operations.
