Look no more!We currently have contract work in Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth for a 26-week contract working on ships, submarines, and within a factory environment.Skills:Proficiency in one or more welding techniques: FCAW, MMA, MIG, TIGAbility to undertake regular welding requalification to meet required standards.Essential Experience:Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret work instructions.Competent in the use of general workshop tools & machinery specific to welding.Experience in the marine engineering industry with Royal Navy ships, submarines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels, or large commercial ships (other relevant experience from other engineering sectors will be considered).Experience of working within a marine engineering environment.Qualifications:Time served apprentice within the field of marine engineering / naval engineering environment.Indentured Apprenticeship relevant to the role.Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship.Level 3 Engineering qualification relevant to the role.Ability to obtain and hold SC clearance and undergo a DBS check.35 hours with possible overtime available.Competitive rate.
