About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated full time Welder (First Class) to join our business in Adelaide.
Reporting to the Fabrication Assembly Line Supervisor, you will be required to carry out specialist welding tasks in the maintenance and manufacture of trailers and trailer components.
Key Responsibilities: · Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, weld procedures and work instructions · Carry out welding duties in the context of trailer and part fabrications using various welding methods and techniques (GMAW, TIG, Stick), cutting (Oxy/Acetylene & Plasma) and grinding · Weld various thicknesses and grades of mild, gal and stainless steel(s) including sheet metal and pipe · Grind, sand, polish and detail fabrications to required finish using hand and power tools to a high standard · Measure and examine completed work to verify conformance to specifications and precision · Ensure all welds meet quality standards and specifications.
· Maintain tools and equipment to a high level and in accordance with safety standards and perform routine maintenance on welding equipment when required · Detect faulty operation of equipment/defective materials or products and notify manager/supervisor Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects on time Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues Qualifications/Skills/Experience Requirements: · Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV or at least three years of fulltime relevant experience for qualifications in lieu of qualifications · At least one year of fulltime work experience · Flexible and cooperative team attitude · Physically fit with good hearing, vision, good coordination and manual dexterity · Basic knowledge of the Manufacturing and Heavy Transport Industry is preferred Culture and Benefits: · Competitive salary and benefits package such as overtime rates as applicable · $73,000.00 to $85,000.00 per annum plus superannuation · Opportunities for professional development and career advancement How to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their qualifications and experience to ******.
