Position: Welder/Fabricator and Boilermaker / Vehicle Body Builder Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $73,500.00 to $78,000.00 plus superannuation per annum

Our client that manufactures a variety of structural steel and stainless-steel projects including purpose-built vehicle bodies is requiring more tradespeople and is seeking an experienced full-time Welder/Fabricator.
Tasks Required Include: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements. Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal stock. Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines. Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering. Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments. Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting. Examining welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision. Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, bathing in acidic solutions. Cleaning and smoothing welds by chiselling and grinding. Requirements: Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Engineering – Fabrication Trade. The successful candidate will be highly experienced with at least 2 years' experience. Able to do TIG / MIG work. Experience manufacturing structural steel fabrications. Ability to read technical drawings. Other trade licenses will be advantageous. Day and afternoon shifts are available. A liking for overtime would be advantageous. All applicants must have good communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment and be able to pass a drugs and alcohol screening.
