We have more than 45 years of experience in modifying and manufacturing underground mining vehicles and currently employ 200+ highly skilled people.About the RoleWe are seeking to employ multiple Welders / Boilermakers / Metal Fabricators to work at our Wynyard Tasmania, Australia site. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for carrying out fabrication, welding, and inspection tasks on the AS9 and AS10 structures, components, and sub-assemblies in accordance with our quality and safety requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret technical drawings of welded assemblies to determine specifications, tolerances and required materials.Comply with the relevant Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) during all welding processes.Perform visual examinations of completed welds for compliance.Setup, operate and maintain various types of welding equipment and tools safely.Conduct welding operations to manufacture armour steel welded assemblies according to relevant standards.About YouThe ideal candidate will possess:Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent welder's trade qualifications.Experience in welding to a Welding Procedure Specification.Experience with MIG and TIG welding.Ability to read and understand specifications and technical drawings.Overhead crane operation (Desirable, training provided).Basic computer skills (Desirable, training provided).BenefitsSafe and secure work environment.Use of advanced GMAW welding machines and technology.Flexible working arrangements.Company supplied uniform.Ongoing training and development opportunities.Employee Assistance Program.Relocation assistance considered for ideal candidates.How to ApplyIf you would like to be considered for this position, please apply now via Seek with a current resume supplied.Additional InformationRight-to-work identification will be required if shortlisted.
