Weighbridge Operator

The Duties You will be operating on the weighbridge controlling the site activities and provide direction to incoming / outgoing vehicles to ensure effective traffic flow of vehicles around the site.You will make sure that our site is compliant with the site permit (specifically around acceptance of waste).As the control room operator, you will complete paperwork to ensure the site complies with legislation (e.g. weighbridge ticket checks and train plans).We expect excellent customer service.The successful candidate will assist with updating spreadsheets, controlling visitors and contractors including issuing contractor's inductions.The Person We are looking for a friendly and approachable team player, who will be expected to obtain a full working understanding of the site permit and who will work to achieve the standards required both in terms of customer service and compliance.The successful candidate will be confident when communicating verbally (face to face and over radio / telephone) and in writing via email.Experience of working with Microsoft Word and Excel is advantageous.What are the requirements? A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement.Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.
