What will I be doing? You will operate the site's weighbridge systems, controlling all entries into/out of the site, maintaining the site diary and ensuring an organised office at all times.
You will:
Assist with general administrative duties, such as answering queries.Perform physical ticket checks for data accuracy and record (Excel).Transfer data collection into a workable format (Excel).Build train plans (Excel).Confirm all inbound & outbound tonnages (Excel).Ability to communicate by radio around site.Carry out inductions for visitors to the site.Complete appropriate documentation, in accordance with legal guidelines.Ensure that all SUEZ Health and Safety policies are followed at all times.Communicate effectively with the team.Deliver outstanding front-line customer service.Be organised.Ability to problem-solve.Be proactive.The role will involve: Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of fixed machinery, compactors & shredders machines.Directing customer vehicles to the various disposal areas and assisting them with off-loading as required.Ensuring the site is kept clean and tidy at all times.Assisting Production staff with their duties during end of shift clean-ups and plant downtime.Contributing to lean and 5's activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workplace.Working as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation.Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.What are the requirements? You will need to be self-motivated, have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team, as well as:
Have a good level of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel.Ability to use other computer systems; full training will be provided.A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.A safety-conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement.Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.The ability and willingness to undertake other roles on site, with the required training and development being provided.Who we are At SUEZ, the efficient and sustainable management of resources around the UK is at the heart of everything we do.
