This role within the Engagement Team is critical for enhancing the experience of ADF members and their families when accessing pay and conditions information. This position contributes to the ongoing improvement of the ADF Pay and Conditions website, which attracts over 470,000 views each year. You will play a key role in maintaining the high quality of the website's user interface by updating HTML, CSS, and JS. Your general understanding of UX will also be important for regular key team activities.Your role will include:Providing essential technical expertise in the Drupal content management system, ensuring site performance goals are met.Designing innovative solutions that meet user and stakeholder needs.Supporting research activities including analysing data and creating actionable insights.Undertaking content governance and configuration activities in GovCMS (Drupal).About our TeamAs a team, we are committed to:User centred DesignSupporting each otherEmbracing growth and learningWe are a multi-disciplinary team that supports remote work and promotes good communication practices. This role is situated within the Directorate of Drafting and Engagement, which forms part of a larger branch within the Department of Defence. The branch is focused on developing people policies and employment conditions for both Defence APS employees and ADF members. As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to implementing ADF pay and conditions updates on our site, while ensuring we provide a user-centred approach to the ADF members and their families who access it.The team has its headquarters in Canberra, but supports flexible work arrangements with members working from home across the central and eastern states and territories. This is supported by occasional travel requirements.Our Ideal CandidateWe want someone who is:Committed to delivering user-centred services.Exhibits strong attention to detail.Excels in remote team collaboration.In addition to the desired relevant experience, the ideal candidate will also:Be self-driven and comfortable working with minimal supervision and promote a positive and productive team culture.Be skilled in content management, particularly in GovCMS Drupal and browser-based developer tools.Have some back-end Drupal knowledge.Have demonstrated experience managing and developing front-end website solutions using GovCMS Drupal.Have proven ability to manage activities from inception to completion, monitor progress, and adapt plans as necessary.Have a solutions mindset to support the delivery of outcomes.EligibilitySecurity Clearance:Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at "Baseline Vetting" level.
