We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water Treatment Plant Operator to join a growing team in Gladstone, responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient wastewater management.

In response to increased demand and regional growth, they are expanding their wastewater operations team.
This role works within a team of five, typically in pairs, where collaboration and communication are key to daily operations.
The team is committed to maintaining close contact throughout the workday to ensure efficiency and accountability.
DescriptionAs a Water Treatment Plant Operator, your main responsibilities will include the daily operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants across multiple sites in Gladstone.
You'll manage plant operations, monitoring in-flow and out-flow processes to maintain optimal performance.
Key tasks include performing a daily checklist, conducting compliance checks, performing scheduled maintenance, cleaning, and documenting plant performance.
The role requires the operation of pumps, valves, and basic PLC systems, as well as taking field samples to ensure water meets regulatory standards.
ProfileWe are looking for a proactive self-starter with a Certificate III in Waste Water Operations and a strong focus on occupational health and safety.
Ideal candidates will possess a current driver's license, proven experience in wastewater treatment, and an aptitude for problem-solving.
Prior experience in municipal wastewater management is a plus but not essential.
Strong communication skills are critical for this role, as you'll be working closely with team members, supervisors, and potentially external stakeholders.
Success in similar roles will be an advantage.
