Job DescriptionOur Water team in Northern Queensland is growing and we currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join AECOM based in our Townsville or Mackay offices.

What a day in this role could involve: Work with a variety of specialists and technical disciplines on flood assessment projects, stormwater management plans, mine waste management projects.Support water sensitive urban design, drainage design and hydraulic design for civil works.Contribute to transformative projects in the local region as well as across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.Opportunities to support project management activities and build relationships with clients depending on your interests.You will be supported in obtaining your CPEng and RPEQ if you are not already accredited and receive strong mentoring and support to progress your career.QualificationsThe following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. What are we looking for from you? Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline & RPEQ/CPEng (or working towards)Working knowledge of ARR2019, TMR Drainage Manual, and QUDM;Ideally, demonstrated experience with water resource modelling packages such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), RORB, XP-RAFTS, URBS, MUSIC, GoldSim etc.Experience with 12D design & GIS softwareExperience developing flood studies and ideally, water balance modelsCFD modelling skills using software packages such as Flow-3D or OpenFoam – highly regarded.Excellent communication skills and ability to write high quality technical and non-technical reports.Are you looking to take the next step and set your career on a new trajectory in 2025?
