We are looking for a Water Quality Engineer on an 18 month fixed term contract who is passionate about delivering essential water, wastewater, waste and recycling services.The roleYou will provide operations and technical support in wastewater to Operations teams in both Australia and New Zealand.
You will lead significant projects in relation to invoice production, data analysis, water quality analysis and reporting, plant commissioning, systems support and coordination of projects.The role will also see you providing leadership to the Operations Support Engineer (or Graduate) within the Water Quality team.Key responsibilitiesProvide technical input and support drinking water and wastewater operationsLead investigations and technical assessment of complex engineering investigations into water treatment, wastewater treatment, membrane processes and water quality and optimisation of treatmentsProject manage drinking water, wastewater and recycled water quality related projectsDevelop technical reports on the performance and operation of processesAssist with plant commissioning and operationsDrive process, chemical and energy optimisation initiativesDevelop, review, and maintain water quality programsAssist with water quality data management and analysisLiaise with external labs and water quality enquiries from internal and external stakeholdersProvide tactical and technical advice on risk management plans and any water related incidentsAdhere to TRILITY's quality assurance/work health and safety requirementsOther duties as directed by the Water Quality ManagerWhat we are looking for5+ years' experience of drinking water and wastewater technologies and processes, systems analysis and managementTertiary qualifications in science or engineeringOperational or design related experience in drinking water, biological wastewater and membrane processesSound understanding of ADWG, AGWR and EPA guidelinesExtensive experience in water risk management systemsDemonstrated experience in leading a technical team in solving engineering or water quality problemsGood client Management, Project Management and ability of Technical Delivery of projectsExperience with design (P&IDs, PFDs) & modelling (including use of BIOWIN, MEDLI, AUTOCAD & VISIO)Competent skills in using Microsoft Office suiteGood written and oral presentation skillsAbility to produce high quality reports and data analysisIdentify and solve problems of a scientific and technical nature, coupled with effective analytical and investigative skillsA customer focus – and particularly the ability to gain the trust of clientsBe able to work away from home for regular periodsWhy TRILITY?TRILITY is an established industry leader, solely dedicated to the delivery of water, wastewater and reuse solutions across New Zealand and Australia's municipal, industrial and resource sectors.
