About the role Are you passionate about water management and sustainability?
We are seeking a Water Efficiency Specialist to develop a comprehensive framework for integrating water efficiency into our operations.
In this pivotal role, you'll utilise water efficiency programs to reduce costs, defer desalination investments, and effectively address short-term water shortages during challenges such as droughts and infrastructure failures.
About Science and Strategy The Science and Strategy group employs scientific approaches to address present and upcoming challenges.
They execute a strategy driven by customer preferences to elevate the SA Water brand and position us for future success.
In addition, your responsibilities will include: Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
You will: Framework Development: Lead the creation of a water efficiency framework that positions water efficiency as a critical resource within the Water Resilience Framework and Response Plans.
Regional Planning: Develop tailored water efficiency plans for each region, establishing economic value for water efficiency options within the supply mix.
Customer Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams to enhance understanding and implementation of water efficiency initiatives among customers.
Campaign Implementation : Design and execute water efficiency campaigns, working alongside communications and customer experience teams.
Evaluation and Reporting : Monitor and assess the economic impacts of water restrictions and response plans, providing detailed briefings and reports to senior management.
Your success in this role will come from: Relevant qualifications in science, engineering, or a related field, along with strong knowledge of the water sector and regulatory requirements (Essential).
Proven experience in strategic planning, policy development, and stakeholder engagement within water resource management (Essential).
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues across diverse stakeholders (Essential).
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to various audiences and engaging effectively with senior leaders (Essential).
