The Opportunity You'll be a key member of our Water team, who has recently secured long standing contracts with major water utilities including supporting Melbourne Water in delivering better outcomes for the industry, community and environment through its latest Engineering Services Panel.
KBR is also part of a team (known as Water4Good) that is striving to create a positive legacy through planning and concept projects directed at social and sustainable initiatives.
We have also recently entered into a 10 year partnership across planning and delivery with South East Water one of Victoria's largest water utilities.
You will work with a diverse team of talented people interacting with our clients and delivering projects.
In this position you will be responsible for contributing to designs at various stages of the engineering lifecycle including detailed designs, preparing technical specifications and providing consulting services in the fields of hydraulics, water supply and wastewater infrastructure, wastewater collection and conveyance systems, pipelines and pumping stations.
You will support projects and proposals to ensure achievement of the required quality, cost and time metrics whilst establishing a network of client contacts.
You will have input into the strategic direction of our Victorian business by drawing on your experience, knowledge and contacts to identify market trends, future opportunities and areas where we can add greater value to clients.
Our team is also exploring new ways to integrate virtual reality and artificial intelligence on projects, offering you the opportunity to future proof and broaden your skills in the digital sphere.
Who are you? We are looking for a Civil Water Engineer with experience in either sewer, pipelines, metro water utility codes, recycled water or potable water.
You will join our high performing Victorian team with opportunities to work at any stage of the project lifecycle.
You will have the following skills and experience:
Hold an accredited Bachelor of Civil Engineering Design experience with knowledge of industry standards. Proven ability to work in project groups and take the lead where required. Experience in projects covering either engineering, design or construct. Worked directly with Water Authority clients on projects including scope, budget and program. What we do KBR's Infrastructure Services Australia business offers a wide range of professional consulting services to private and public sector clients to deliver projects of any size in both urban and remote environments in transport, water and environment, buildings, defence infrastructure and program management.
