About the role This position is a full time role in the Water and Sewer Operations team based at the Moruya Sewage Treatment Plant.
Your main duties will include: Operating water and sewer systems in accordance with established operating procedures and the requirements of Council's Pollution Control Licences.
Implementing maintenance and asset renewal systems for water supply reticulation and/or sewer collection and transport systems.
Construction of water and sewer infrastructure in accordance with detailed designs and industry standards.
Coordinating and supervising the tasks of Water and Sewer Assistant Operators.
Ensuring all activities are carried out with safety, quality and environmental considerations.
Salary Information Total remuneration for the role is in the range $2,805.16 to $3,059.55 gross per fortnight consisting of: $2,478.00 to $2,706.15 base salary $37.84 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance $289.32 to $315.56 superannuation (at 11.5%) When required by Council, participation in an on call roster is part of this position.
An allowance is paid when on call.

About you Our Water and Sewer Operations team are searching for a motivated, hard-working individual.
You will be responsible for operating and maintaining water supply and sewer systems and ensuring the protection of public and environmental health.
To be successful in your application, you will need to demonstrate the following: Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent qualification.
Experience working in water and/or sewer operations, maintenance and/or construction.
Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to supervise small teams.
Proven Word processing/spreadsheet/database operating skills.
