As a Waste Water Operator, you will be a fundamental part of the business.
What's the Role? This role and its duties include:
The daily operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plants across several sites within Gladstone. Make and take responsibility for plant operational decisions. Following established procedures to treat the wastewater to achieve compliant release. The successful applicant will be required to take field samples of the wastewater. Work includes the operation of pumps, valves, and a basic PLC. Who you are It is essential you have:
A Certificate III in Waste Water Operations. A strong focus on OH&S. Well-rounded communication skills are essential due to the range of internal and possibly external stakeholder engagement. Proven competencies operating WWTP are highly desirable. A current driver's license. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build working relationships both internally and externally. Problem-solving skills. Capable of working alone or within a team. Key Responsibilities - Ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the wastewater treatment plant and its associated equipment.
- Perform general scheduled and unscheduled minor maintenance tasks.
- Cleaning compliance checks and the completion of system performance reporting are part of this role.
- There is a level of physicality required to complete this role.
- Success in any similar roles.
